Since everyone has been wanting to see what Infini-D 3.0 can do... thought we post an example.
The following movie has these things of note:
1) The bottle is all one object made with Inifni-D 3.0's new modeler from four arbitrary spline-based cross sections with various number of points. Infini-D 3.0 automatically morph cross sections while still aloowing full control over tweaking their shape. The rails are used to define the out shape of the bottle.
2) The spoon is entirely made from one object modeled in 3.0
3) Each hand consists of five pieces. The four fingers are all one object each, the hand itself and thumb are also separate objects.
4) The morphing texture uses Infini-D surface composition with the new decal mode to place the label exactly where needed. As always, morphing is automatic.
5) The bending of the bottle is also done with Infini-D 3.0. Simply bend the Path (which acts like a 3D spine) over time and Infini-D automatically morphs the object over time. Everything in Infini-D 3.0 is morphable over time.
6) While not obvious at first (which is partly the point), the velocity of the movement is separate from the velocity of the bottle rotation and texture morphing. These parameters are controlled separately with Infini-D 3.0's new velocity graphs and parameter-based Sequencer.
This animation is shrunk down from its original 640 x 480 size, using CinePak, which means some detail is lost. However, shrinking the animation down allowed us to make the movie 462K, which is more desirable for downloading.
